Nobody rocks the head shot like 1970's-era news anchor Jim Gardner. Nobody.
Dude's still kicking it over at WPVI-6 after all these years. I had the pleasure of meeting Ron Burgundy Jim Gardner outside a function at Villanova University several years ago.
In between puffs on a Marlboro Light, he told my friends and I a story about his days as a student at Columbia University in the 1960's, when he was asked to join a brand-new a capella group that was forming on campus.
That a capella group later went on to become Sha Na Na. Could you imagine one of Philadelphia's most venerated news personalities performing doo-wop on stage with Bowser (and trying not to look conspicuously out of place at Woodstock)?
You are the man, Jim Gardner. Give my regards to Tits McGee!

Looks like that was taken back in the James Goldman days. God, I miss Philadelphia.
